5 Steps to Create Content for Yourself
Updated: Feb 27
Here are five (5) easy steps to create content for, and of yourself on the go.
Keeping up with content should not be an impossible task. I want to help everyone be able to create their own relevant and professional-like quality content so that social media demands are met. I've created a video, and summarized it in text below for you to learn tips on making amazing content on your own.
1. STEP ONE: LIGHTING
Shoot close to a natural light source, such as a large window or outdoors in natural lighting. Make sure that you are putting yourself in an evenly lit spot, such as the shade to make for a well balanced shot.
2. STEP TWO: TRIPOD/STABILIZATION
I highly recommend using a tripod as a mount for either your camera or phone (whatever device you are working with). Fun Fact: A lampshade screw is compatible with most camera mounts. This is helpful to know if you are travelling and in dire need of a mount, you can find these all over; airbnbs, hotels, restaurants, etc.
3. STEP THREE: INTERVAL TIMER
The interval timer is built into mobile devices, and most cameras. This is amazing to use when you are trying to make content for yourself. Just set up a timer, compose your shot, pose, and snap! Your photos will look like someone else took them.
4. STEP FOUR: COMPOSITION
Follow the Rule of Thirds as an easy guideline to composition. Capturing a proper composed shot will make your content look that much more professional and outsourced.
5. STEP FIVE: POSING
Experiment and be confident with posing. Try to take up space in your frame with posing, props, and natural elements in the surroundings. Overall, have fun with movement and capturing unique shots.
Thats it! I hope you are feeling confident to begin your content creation journey.
